Metal Gear Delta Secret Mode Revived by Platinum Games

Platinum Games has stepped back into Konami’s world, bringing new fire to Metal Gear Delta: Snake Eater. Their task? Rebuilding Snake’s Nightmare, a surreal, fan-favorite side mode that’s been absent for years.

In the original MGS3, Snake’s Nightmare unlocked when players saved during Snake’s prison scene. Reopening the file would throw them into a dreamlike graveyard, facing demons with a pair of hook-swords. It was weird, fast, and unforgettable.

The remake was close to complete, but this mode seals it. By restoring one of the game’s most unexpected moments, Konami and Platinum have added bite to the nostalgia. Snake didn’t forget the nightmare. Neither did we.
